How do I use my Apple Thunderbolt Display with the BizonBOX?

Your Mac must have two Thunderbolt ports to use the BizonBOX with your Apple Thunderbolt Display.
The Apple Thunderbolt Display must be connected to your Mac, not the BizonBOX.

Acceleration is dependent on operating system and Mac configuration:

  • Integrated Intel HD, Intel Iris, Intel Iris Pro
    OS X: Yes, only in cases listed in the "Apple Thunderbolt Display Exceptions" section. See below.
    Windows: Yes, in all cases.
  • Integrated + discrete (AMD, NVIDIA)
    OS X: Yes, only in cases listed in the "Apple Thunderbolt Display Exceptions" section. See below.
    Windows: Yes, only in cases listed in the "Apple Thunderbolt Display Exceptions" section. See below.

 

Apple Thunderbolt Display Exceptions:
Some applications provide you the option to select GPU usage within the application’s preferences.
For those applications, regardless of hardware configuration, you will be able to use the Apple Thunderbolt Display for GPU acceleration.
Most well known applications are: DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Octane Render, SketchUp, etc.
